self portraits and portraits intro

Don't be shy. If you approach people in the right way, they'll usually be happy to have their picture made. It's up to you to break the ice and get them to cooperate. Joke around with them. Tell them why you want to make the picture. Practice with people you know so that you are comfortable; people can sense when you aren't.

A self-portrait doesn't have to be of your face—the image of two hands holding a camera says a lot about the photographer who shot his own portrait.
i chose both of these environmental photos because of the symmetry in both of them
i chose this one because it is a reflection of the photographer
i chose this one because of how he blended into the background
i chose both of these because the background has interest but is not put as the main subject
i think that for my pictures since i like to play magic the gathering i might go to mages sanctum and take a picture of the cashier since they are surrounded by cards and boxes around them it could be a good environmental picture i could make a casual photo with people playing at a round table all looking up at the camera and for one self portrait i could take a picture of my hands holding some magic the gathering cards and my final self portrait could be a background of the back of magic cards since they all look the same with me laying in the middle of them.
