http://petapixel.com/2014/12/31/10-photography-resolutions-new-year/ on this article the author is talking about the 10 new years resolutions she had made. she talks about how we need to put more faith in our work and not be afraid of negative reactions. something else she talks about is how we should not be afraid of people critiquing our work and should learn from it. she said we need to take more photos of ourselves and see it as fun rather than a job. i chose this photo because of the way the character stood out in the rain and mist. some of the rules it followed were simplicity, avoid merging, and framing. the photo was taken by Jenna the photographer who wrote the article. all of the photos had a person in the middle except the last photo. they seemed to be surrounded by nature or had some nature in the photo. and most of them had the same person as the subject. I learned to be more open with my photography. this site related to photography because it was about giving new p

Don't be shy. If you approach people in the right way, they'll usually be happy to have their picture made. It's up to you to break the ice and get them to cooperate. Joke around with them. i think the most powerful image is advice from dad, a Vietnam vet because he understands what his is going to go through. the pictures go through this year like a story of him changing from a child to a responsible person. the captions enhance the images because they give backstory to the images. a short summary is he lives in colorado before joining the army he goes through 13 weeks of training one camp he was at was near where he lived before going to Iraq for a year tour before returning home and getting married. it is in present tense it is usually two to three sentences the first sentence shows the time, place, and the people the second shows what Ian is doing in it the third usually includes a quote yes some include quotes no there are none that i see with 4 sentences no with a caption you can only give a brief story because books can go more in depth

some differences between video and still photos is that the camera will be moving throughout, sometimes it can work to not follow the rules, the aspect ration will change, symmetry is important. this shot from baby driver follows symmetry and patterns, balancing elements, viewpoint, framing, background and avoid merging this shot from baby driver follows the rule of thirds and cropping this shot from baby driver follows leading lines, balancing elements and creating depth stills from shaun of the dead establishing shot close up extreme close up medium over the shoulder two-shot wide
